The Barn, a for-profit, full-service restaurant, embodies the true spirit of hospitality, offering a neighborhood gathering place and a welcome retreat for out-of-towners. We say delicious food and caring friends are good for the soul. Join us in the rustic barn dining room or enjoy waterfront dining from the deck overlooking a small lake with a fountain.
Barn customers can choose from a delectable array of freshly prepared farm-to-table, all day breakfasts, lunches and hand-crafted pastries/baked desserts Wednesdays through Sundays, from 8 am to 1 pm. Reservations for parties also touring the Museum are recommended; call 314 966 8387.
The Barn also specializes in catering to tour groups on-site from the menu or off-site with box lunches. Recently renovated The Barn, offers a charming-yet-sophisticated setting for special events.
The venue hosts bridal/baby showers, reunions, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions. The catering staff will design to your specifications, whether for a sit-down bridal luncheon for ten or a tented wedding reception for 200.
Also at picturesque Historic Sappington House, visit Thomas Sappington’s home, now a museum, built with enslaved labor during Thomas Jefferson’s presidency. And either for serious study or casual browsing, rest and reflect at the Library of Americana and Decorative Arts.
The Barn proprietor Karen Mott, chefs Dana Jones and Stacy Linder, baker Sherry Dauphin and staff will set before you a mouthwatering meal that you will not soon forget and likely will keep you coming back for more.
